May 4th marks the release of Wild Forest’s debut EP “Earthbound” on vinyl. On May 5th, the band will play a release concert in Copenhagen, and throughout the month of May, they will play unplugged shows in record stores across the country.
The first EP from Wild Forest is titled “Earthbound” and the forces of nature did indeed play a significant role in the writing of the songs for the record. The clash of emotions that happens in the meeting between man and nature inspired a lot of the lyrics, and the songs were all written and recorded in the band’s countryside collective, far from the hustle and bustle of the pulsating cities.
Earthbound has received praise from the music press, and especially the single “Sparks” has been a favorite on both national radio and blogs.

Wild Forests debut EP “Earthbound” udkommer den 4. maj på vinyl. Der er releasekoncert på Lygten St. i København d. 5 maj, og i løbet af maj spiller medlemmer af bandet unplugged i pladeforretninger landet over.
Bandets første EP bærer titlen “Earthbound” og Jordens kræfter spiller en stor rolle i sangenes tekstunivers og billedsprog. Naturen og mennesket går her i ét i en storm af følelser og sindstilstande.
Musikken er blevet til under en klar stjernehimmel, langt fra de pulserende storbyer. Bandet skriver og producerer nemlig selv musikken i deres landkollektiv, og dette er et helt bevidst valg; de tiltrækkes og inspireres nemlig netop af de åbne vidder og den storslåede natur.
Earthbound har fået en fornem modtagelse hos bl.a. Madsen på DR P4, som har haft den i rotation siden december 2017. Og især singlen “Sparks” har formået at vække begejstring hos DRs Karrierekanonen og i den øvrige musikpresse.
